Who am I?

Welcome to my world of historical romance with a dash of mystery and danger!
My stories cross several genres and – just like my characters – they don’t fit into any one  particular box. It is my own way of combining my favourite genres: romance, historical fiction and mystery / suspense.
I have had two novels published: Highland Arms (originally released by The Wild Rose Press, and now self-published) and Dark Deceit (with Crooked Cat Books). I also self-published a paranormal novella, Silent Deception, which is free to read on Smashwords.

My current work in progress is Love Lost in Time, a time-slip romantic mystery set in the Languedoc region of south-west France in the 8th century and the present time. Love Lost in Time is due out in spring 2018.

I have also begun research into the second instalment in The Anarchy Trilogy. The sequel to Dark Deceit should be available by the end of 2018.
I lived in Scotland for many years, and I do still miss it. In 2017 I relocated to France with my husband. We share our home near Carcassonne with Tiger, our 13 year-old cat; Ellie, a griffon mongrel adopted from the local SPA; Charlie Young Cat, a Siamese foundling; and Shadow Kitten, the last of four abandoned kittens we raised in the summer who has decided to stay with us.
I hold a Certificate in Creative Writing from Lancaster University, and I'm in my last year of studying for a BA in Modern Languages at the Open University. I teach Creative Writing at a local community organisation, and I’m a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Romantic Novelists’ Association.
