Who doesn’t yearn for a bit of escapism at the moment, with all the tragic news around us? And what better place to escape to than right into the world of romantic fiction! And I know just the novel to escape with: Redeeming the Reclusive Earl by Virginia Heath ! I have enjoyed reading novels by Virginia Heath before, and Redeeming the Reclusive Earl was a fabulous read, as expected.   The recluse in question is Max who has recently inherited the earldom and estate of Rivenhall. I'm absolutely delighted to share my review of Lady Edith’s Lonely Heart by Audrey Harrison . A fabulously gripping tale! My thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for a review copy. I read this novel in two sittings on consecutive evenings. It was absorbing, engaging and witty.  It’s the intriguing tale of Lady Edith, whose mother is keen to see her wed at the age of twenty-three. But who has ideas of marrying for love. Is that so impossible? She soon discovers who it is she wants, but fate seems to be against her.  I found the characters well-drawn and realistic, with Ralph’s family conflict adding to the drama. Where he seems aloof, withdrawn from society, there is a good reason. And eventually, that conflict will resolve itself... I thoroughly enjoyed reading Lady Edith’s Lonely Heart , and would highly recommend it to readers of Regency romance with a touch of adventure. Today’s review is for a fabulous romance novel called, The Lord’s Inconvenient Vow by Lara Temple .  Many thanks, again, to Rachel’s Random Resources for letting me take part. My review: I thoroughly enjoyed this novel, which is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. It begins in Egypt, where Lady Samantha meets Lord Edward Edgerton again, after many years. The incredible backdrop of ancient historic sites sets the scene beautifully, and it immediately hooked me. As the days go by, their flirty banter hides deeper feelings neither are ready to explore.
