But first of all, let me tell you about one of my favourite romance novels:

Through the Fire by the mega talented Beth Trissel!

Blurb:

Will love inflame these two natural born enemies in fiery destruction?
At the height of the French and Indian War, a young English widow ventures into the colonial frontier in search of a fresh start. She never expects to find it in the arms of the half-Shawnee, half-French warrior who makes her his prisoner in the raging battle to possess a continent--or to be aided by a mysterious white wolf and a holy man.

~~~
I loved the atmosphere the author creates in this novel. The mix of Frontier settlers and Natives always makes for an intriguing read, especially with a paranormal element added, and Beth Trissel knows how to create gripping, moving plots.
The beautiful description of the dramatic landscape makes you feel like you're there. You can sense the danger lurking. And the author's attention to historical detail is brilliant.
Shoka is the half-Shawnee warrior hero, and I was in love. A deep, fascinating man with an edge. Not surprising, really, that Rebecca fell for him - in the end. As dark forces gather around them, they have to face their challenges together. Will they find their happy end? Find out for yourself!
~~~

Right, so check out this fabulous read and let me know what you think! Don't forget...a PDF copy of Highland Arm is up for grabs for one lucky commenter here ;-)
